The CSV import allows you to add multiple products to Eselt without creating each product manually. This is especially useful when your product data is already stored in another shop system, marketplace, inventory management system or spreadsheet.
At the moment, Eselt supports two CSV formats:
- JTL CSV
- Eselt CSV
If your file uses one of these formats, you can upload it directly and start importing your products.
How does the CSV import work?
Go to My Products, click Import and select CSV Import.

On the next page, you can upload your CSV file by dragging it into the upload area or by selecting it from your computer. Eselt will then process the file and import the available product information.

Before uploading a large product catalogue, we recommend testing the import with a file containing only a few example products. This makes it easier to check whether all fields are assigned correctly.
What if my CSV file uses a different format?
CSV files can have very different structures depending on the system they come from. Column names, product variants, images, prices and other information may be stored differently.
If you would like to use your own CSV format, simply upload your file through the CSV import page. Ideally, the file should contain several representative products, including variants if you use them.
We can then review the structure of your file and check how it can be supported by the Eselt import. You do not need to manually rebuild your entire product catalogue before sending us an example.

Please make sure that the test file does not contain any information that you do not want to share.
Which data can be imported?
The available data depends on the structure of your CSV file. A file may contain, for example:
- product titles and descriptions,
- SKUs and product identifiers,
- prices and stock levels,
- product images,
- categories,
- variations such as size or colour.
The more consistent the file structure is, the easier it is to process the products correctly.
