Since December 2024, Amazon requires full compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). Yet many sellers still don’t know where to enter their Amazon GPSR data — and are surprised when Amazon continues to open cases or mark products as non‑compliant.
The reason is simple: Amazon requires GPSR information in two different places.
This guide explains exactly where to enter your data so your products are recognized as fully GPSR‑compliant.
1. Enter GPSR Data in the Seller Performance Section
The first step is submitting your basic GPSR information in Seller Central. Navigate to:
Performance → Account Health → Regulatory compliance

In the section Manage your compliance, select Submit Compliance Information and then choose General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR):

Here, Amazon requests the following:
Manufacturer Information
- Name
- Address
- Contact details
Responsible Person information (EU)
- Name or company name
- Address within the EU
- Email and phone number
Why this step is not enough
Many sellers assume that filling out the Seller Performance section completes their GPSR obligations. It doesn’t.
Amazon also requires GPSR information at the product level. If this second step is missing, Amazon will continue to open cases — even if the Seller Performance section is fully completed.
2. Complete GPSR Fields for Each Individual Product
Every product (ASIN) must have its own GPSR data. You can find these fields in the product editing area — for example through tools like Eselt, where missing GPSR fields are clearly highlighted.
Typical product‑level GPSR fields
- GPSR Safety Certificate
- Email or electronic address of the manufacturer
- Email or electronic address of the responsible person

Only when these fields are completed for each ASIN will Amazon recognize the product as fully GPSR‑compliant.
3. GPSR Safety Certificate: When to Select “YES” and When “NO”?
Amazon requires sellers to indicate whether a product needs warnings or safety instructions. Your choice — “YES” or “NO” — determines what information Amazon expects and which documents may be required.
Below is a clear overview to help you choose the correct option.
When Should You Select “YES”?
Selecting “YES” means:
Your product does NOT require warnings or safety instructions because it is inherently safe.
This applies to items that pose no relevant risk during normal and foreseeable use.
Products that fall under “YES”
1. Simple decorative and household items
- Decorative figures
- Picture frames
- Ceramic or glass decor without sharp edges
- Vases, bowls, home accessories
2. Clothing and accessories

5. Products without technical or mechanical function
- Fabric bags
- Organizers
- Simple storage boxes
- Decorative baskets
6. Products without age warnings or small parts
If the item is not intended for children and contains no swallowable components.
When Should You Select “NO”?
Selecting “NO” means:
Your product DOES require warnings or safety instructions.
This applies to items where a foreseeable risk exists and the user must be informed.
Products that fall under “NO”
1. Children’s products and toys
- “Not suitable for children under 36 months”
- Small parts / choking hazards
- Age warnings
- Supervision instructions
2. Electrical and electronic devices
- Risk of electric shock, overheating, misuse

- EN71 (toys)
- EN62115 (electronic toys)
Summary Table
| Selection | Meaning | Typical Products | What Amazon Expects |
|---|---|---|---|
| YES | Product does NOT require warnings | Decor, clothing, accessories, paper goods, simple household items | No warnings required; product considered inherently safe |
| NO | Product DOES require warnings | Toys, electronics, tools, chemicals, products with risks | Warnings, safety information, possibly test reports and DoC |
Conclusion
To correctly enter your Amazon GPSR data, you must complete both required areas:
- Seller Performance → Compliance section
- Product‑level GPSR fields for each ASIN
Only then will your products be recognized as fully GPSR‑compliant.
